CUMBERLAND -- William R. Iliff Sr., 63, of Cumberland, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2001, in his residence.
Born on Sept. 2, 1938, in McCoole, he was the son of Paul Huffman and Gladys Marie (Kifer) Iliff. Mr. Iliff was a self-employed stonemason and bricklayer and was a U.S. Navy Korean Conflict veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon Lynn (Fetters) Iliff; four sons, William R. Iliff Jr., Rodney Iliff, Anthony Taylor and Andrew Mason, all of Cumberland; two daughters, Tammy Weber and Angela Moyer, both of Cumberland; two sisters, Jeanie Herpick of Corpus Christie, Texas, and Jackie Dormio of Cumberland; and numerous grandchildren. At
Mr. Iliff's request, his body will be cremated under the direction of the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, 1302 National Hwy., LaVale.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2001, at 11 a.m. in the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery Chapel at Rocky Gap with the Rev. Wayne R. Turner officiating. Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard.
