Chambers, Ida Lucinda Lawson-80 of Rt. 1, Huntsville, passed away Saturday afternoon, November 22, at the Scott County Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Sam Lawson and the Etta Hicks Lawson and was also preceded in death by two sons, Everett (Cotton) Chambers and Willie Chambers; three sisters, Vicey Margaret Norris, Ollie Adkins, and Bertha Adkins; and six brothers, Willie, James Alvin, Jake, Floyd, Silas and John Lawson. She was a member of the St. Fork Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Marion Lee Chambers of Rt. 1, Huntsville; one daughter, Rosetta Crowley of Douglasville, Ga.; three sons, Walter Lee Chambers and Argle Chambers, both of Huntsville, and Virgle Chambers of Chatsworth, Ga.; four sisters, Bertie Sexton and Juanita Caulfield, both of Cincinnati, O., Connie Barnes of Huntsville, and Lola Ray of Stone Mountain, Ga.; one brother, Walter Lawson of Pineville, Ky.; 22 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 25, at the Straight Fork Baptist Church, with Rev. Clarence Carroll and Rev. Tom Owens officiating. The Goad Family sang.
