Florence C. Dellow, 101, died at Cortland Care on November 25, 2008. A lifelong resident of Preble, New York, she was a graduate of Cortland High School. In 1928 she graduated from Cortland Normal School. She was a member of Preble Congregational Church and Hartford Senoir Citizens, served as a 4H leader for many years and had several hobbies over the years. She was predeceased by her husband, Leslie "Pete" Dellow; two sons, Roy and Lee; and a brother, Lewis. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ruth (Gerald) Breeds of Moravia, Mrs. Janice (John) Kowatch of Auburn and Mrs. Caryle (Roy) Smith of Pompey; a son, Charles Albert Dellow of Cortland; 16 grandchildren; 33 great- grandchildren; 46 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2008, at Briggs/Hall Memorial Home, 11 N. Main Street, Homer, New York. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., prior to the service. Burial take place at Cortland Rural Cemetery, Cortland, New York. Contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
