Julia Jean Bandy, nee Jennings, 71, Union, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2008, in Union.



Mrs. Bandy was born Aug. 23, 1936, in Sullivan, the daughter of Guy M. Jennings and wife Emma M., nee Strauser.
She received her schooling in Sullivan and graduated from Sullivan High School.
On July 26, 1957, she was united in marriage to Ralph Bandy at First Baptist Church in Union. They shared 50 years of marriage.
Mrs. Bandy worked as an embosser at Brown Shoe Company for 22 years, child development at First Baptist Church in Union for 10 years and later worked at Quick-Point in Washington.
She was an active member of First Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for children for many years.
Mrs. Bandy also was a member of the Four Rivers Genealogical Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph Bandy, on Feb. 22, 2008; one sister, Marilyn Boles; and two brothers, Vernon and James Jennings.
Mrs. Bandy is survived by one son, David Bandy and wife Donna, Sullivan; two daughters, Jean Baker and husband Brad, Owensville, and Linda Stahlman and husband Carl, Union; her foster son, John Bost, Arizona state; six grandchildren, Julia Lewis and husband Adam, Rolla, Paul Baker, St. Louis, Zachary, David and Daniel Stahlman, all of Union, and Sophia Anderson, St. Louis; one brother, Robert Jennings, Lebanon; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 15, at First Baptist Church, Union. The Rev. Lonnie Webb and the Rev. Greg Cross officiated.
Burial was in Midlawn Cemetery, Union.
Memorials to First Baptist Church or St. John Hospice are preferred.
