Mrs. E. Beebe Dies Saturday
Mrs. Ernest C. Beebe, 71, of 723 E. Loomis St., died at 7 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since July 11.
Alfield Bergetta Burg was born July 3, 1897, in Bennett. Mich. She grew up and had re sided her entire life in Luding-ton and Mason County. She was married on Jan. 27, 1929, in Ludington to Ernest C. Beebe, who died on Dec. 3, 1957.
She received her higher education from Eastern Michigan University and her teacher's degree from Central Michigan University. She taught in the Ludington school system for many years retiring in 1962.
Mrs. Beebe was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church and a church circle: Woman's Literary Club, Ludington Branch, American Association of University Women and Lakeshore Study Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Carol Lee Taggart of Ludington; a son, Allen E. Beebe, of Warren; five sisters: Mrs. Wal ter (Olga) Pratt of Port Huron, Miss Esther Burg of Detroit, Mrs. Emmett (Mabel) Buckley of Pontiac, Mrs. George (El. len) Mobley of Trenton and Mrs. Erwin (Edith) Haahr of Warren: two brothers, Martin of Chicago and William of Detroit; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday from Emanuel Lutheran Church.
