In 1900 she, her parents, her four siblings, and three roomers lived in a house they were renting at 622 Main Street in Johnstown, PA. Her father worked as a mail carrier.

In 1910 she, her father, her four siblings, her maternal grandmother, and two lodgers lived in a house at 118 Erie Street in Westmont, PA. Her father worked as a mail carrier doing city delivery, and she as a cashier in a clothing store.

In 1920 she and her husband and their three children lived in a house they were renting at 310 Everhart Street in Johnstown, PA. He worked as a sign painter.

In 1930 she and Otto and their four children lived in a rowhouse they were renting for $30 a month at 716 Trail Avenue in Frederick, MD. They did have a radio. He worked as a sign painter in a shop.

In 1940 she, her husband, their two youngest children, and Otto's soon-to-be wife lived in a rowhouse they were renting for $23 a month at 115 South Market Street in Frederick. Both Ottos worked as sign painters.
