Jesse Reese Miller, 77, of Amarillo, formerly of Canadian, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2008.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Canadian with the Rev. Justin Coleman, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Kingston Cemetery in Kingston, Okla. Arrangements are by Hugh Funeral Home of Canadian.

Mr. Miller was born Feb. 19, 1931, in Mead, Okla., to the late Claud and Pearl Reese Miller. He grew up in Kingston, where he attended school.

He and Jo Ann Weaver were married on Jan. 15, 1951, in Ardmore, Okla. They moved to Canadian in 1960, where they remained until February 2008, when they moved to Amarillo.

Mr. Miller was a member of Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Canadian, where he served as a deacon. He was a welder and retired from Santa Fe Railway in 1993.

In addition to enjoying music and playing several instruments, he was a talented metal artist and an avid outdoorsman and hunter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Doris Herron.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann; two sons, James Miller and wife Jana and Jesse Miller and wife Jill, all of Amarillo; a brother, Cecil Miller and wife Mohata of Denison; two sisters, Evelyn Nance and husband Britt of Mount Vernon and Joyce Nunn and husband John of Fort Worth; four grandchildren, Jennifer Brooks and husband Joey, Jill Urioste and husband Andrew and Clint Miller and Jaden Miller; and four great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, 310 Birch St., Canadian, TX 79014.
