Mrs. Elma Lambeth Newman, 71, of 8117 Warden Drive, died Monday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Laughlin-Service Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Bobby Thornton officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Newman was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Beta Sigma Pi, First Baptist Church and the National Retired Teacher Association.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Catherine McDonald of Mississippi and Mrs. Elizabeth Howell of Huntsville; and a brother, Edwin G. Lambeth of California.
