Joanna Morgan Ward, 94, of 230 Terry Creek Road, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2008 at Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, N.C.
Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence M. and Emily Bright Morgan. Mrs. Ward was retired from Piedmont Industries after 40 years of service and she was a lifelong member of Terry Creek Pentecostal Church.
Surviving are three sisters, Inez M. Taylor, Mamie M. Williams and Hilda M. Jernigan, all of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Oliver Ward; a daughter, Betty Jo Ward; two sisters, Ethel Smith and Flora Wood; and two brothers, J.C. Morgan and Floyd Morgan.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Terry Creek Pentecostal Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends before the service from 1 to 2 at the church.
The family will be at their respective homes.
