Laurence was the 4th of 10 children born to August and Malinda Jane (Forest) Weindel. He married Catherine Pearle Johnson around 1920 in Colorado. They had one daughter. He and Pearle owned the Superior Dyers and Dry Cleaners of Colorado Springs and also had owned Dewey Dry Cleaning Co. in Dewey, Colorado. Pearle is also buried in Roselawn as many members of Laurence's family.
