Funeral Today for Retired Oil Driller

Funeral for Horace M. IVEY, 60, who died at his home, 2118 Victoria, at midnight Tuesday, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Kiker-Warren Chapel. The Rev. Joe R. MAYES, pastor of Ash Street Mission, will officiate and burial is to be in a local cemetery.

Mr. IVEY retired from work as an oil well driller for Shell Oil Co. two years ago because of illness. He had lived in Abilene the past three or four years. He was born in Springfield, Mo., Jun 8, 1887, and came to Texas in 1908, settling in Runnels County.

He is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Luther COX of Longview and Mrs. Helen CRAIG of Abilene; two sisters, Mrs. John HERRON of Rule and Mrs. Ross PERRY of Lamesa; and three grandchildren.
