The Free Press (which became the Times-Press in 1927) was founded in 1873. Several men, including Mr. Fornof, were responsible for its early development. He was co-publisher in 1884 and became sole owner in 1897. Mr. Fornof was interested in politics, helping a number of candidates to be elected to various offices.
