Daniel M. Rooke, age 65 of Minnetonka, passed away on November 19, 2008, at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina. Funeral service was held on November 29 at the Westwood Community Church in Excelsior. Interment Acacia Park Cemetery Mendota Heights.
Daniel was born on February 2, 1943, in St. Paul, MN, the son of Edward and Maxine (Ruben) Rooke. Dan was a well-known and respected insurance agent in the Twin Cities for over 40 years. He was a godly man whose heart was overflowing with compassion and mercy for others.
Dan is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda, and parents, Edward and Maxine Rooke. Dan is survived by his loving family: children and spouses, Scott and Amy Rooke of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, Todd and Donna Rooke of Waconia, Holly and John Strack of Waconia; grandchildren, Will, Charlie and Sean Rooke, Megan, Mya, Oliver and Landon Rooke, Danielle, Nathan and Amanda Strack; brother and sister-in-law, David and Marie Rooke of St. Paul; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marsha Christensen of White Bear Lake, Marilee and Denny Nelson of Bloomington, Marlene and Steve Johnson of McKinney, Texas; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
