Funeral services for Rupert L. Dunn, age 65, of Monroe, La. were held December 6, 1987 at the Chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia with Rev. Fred Rushing officiating. Burial followed in the Bethany Cemetery in Hebert under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia.

Mr. Dunn died Friday, December 4 at North Monroe Community Hospital in Monroe after a brief illness.

He was an appliance service technician, a veteran of World War II and a member of the Rosemary Masonic Lodge of Sikes.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Juanita Murphy Dunn of Monroe; two daughters, Mrs. Lynn Harris and Mrs. Kaye Lensing, both of Monroe; his parents, Creston and Eula Dunn of Columbia; four brothers, Curtis Dunn of Alexandria, La., Merlon Dunn of Shreveport, La., Billy Dunn of Monroe and Johnny Johnston of Vivian, La.; six sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Sanders of Shreveport, Mrs. Geraldine Sherman of Columbia, Mrs. Marilyn Fore of Alexandria, Mrs. Kathryn Martin of Monroe, Mrs. Amanda Dannehl of Hebert and Mrs. Nelda Frye of Shreveport; and 4 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Richard Dunn, David Dunn, Eugene Dunn, Chuck Cruse, Roger Murphy, Clif Murphy, Reggie Watson and Gary Martin.
