84 yrs 6mos 10 days∼Matthias was son of Johann George Michael Muench and Maria Magdalena Wagner. He first married Catherina Fertig around 1800 and they were parents of Mathias, Jr., Jacob, Elizabeth, John, Peter, Catherine, George, and Israel. After Catherina died in 1815, Mathias married Christina Drawbond and they were parents of Elizabeth, Lucinda and Harvey. Some have linked his second wife Christina to his son Matthias, Jr. but Matthias, Jr. was married to Dorothy.

CATHARINE FERTIG, daughter of John Nicholas Fertig and Maria Elisabetha Neu, married second 6 Oct. 1853 by Rev. Socrates Henkel, Rader Lutheran Church, Timberville, VA, CHRISTINA DRAWBOND, b. cl798 in Rockingham Co., died 20 Dec. 1873, daughter of Conrad Drawbond and Anna Maria Zigler; all three buried at Rader Church graveyard.
