Sgt. Kevin George Bryan, 55, of Browns Summit, died Sunday, November 23, 2008, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, N.C.

The service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26, at Muirs Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Jock Ollis officiating.

He was born June 17, 1953, in Rahway, N.J., to the late Joseph and Catherine Bryan. He spent the later part of his life spending time with family and friends, volunteering his time to his daughter's high school basketball team, and reading political books. Kevin was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Vietnam, Bosnia, and Iraq.

He is survived by his three children, Jessica L. Bryan of Greensboro, N.C., Colleen E. Mathias and husband, Matt of Peoria, Ill., and Ty P. Bryan of Winston Salem, N.C.; as well as his siblings, Winnie Canavan and her husband, Joseph of New Jersey, Thomas Bryan and his wife, Geri of New Jersey, Millie Ciencin and husband, Greg of New Jersey, and Maureen Murphy of Greensboro, N.C. He has left behind two grandchildren, Amyrr G. Bryan and Addison J. Mathias as well as many nieces and nephews.
