CHINLE — Funeral services for Edith Bacon Bitsoi, 67, will be 10 a.m., Nov. 22, at Grace Fellowship Church. The Rev. Joe James Begay will officiate.
Burial will be in family plot.
Bitsoi died Nov. 17, 2008, in Chinle. She was born Nov. 17, 1941, in Talihina, Okla., into the Choctaw People Clan.
Bitsoi had 16 years of education. She was employed with Chinle Valley School working with exceptional handicapped children and later retired from there. After retirement, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Deswood Bitsoi Sr.; sons, Bennie Bitsoi Dannie Bitsoi, Deswood Bitsoi Jr., Edmond Bitsoi; daughters, Bonnie Dee Botsoi, Connit Bitsoi Tso, Pennie Bitsoi, Donnie Bitsoi; 40 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Bitsoi was preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca Bitsoi; one granddaughter.
Pallbearers will be Edmond Bitsoi, Garrick Billy, Danley Bitsoi, Hansen Bitsoi, Harland Thinn, Orlando Thinn, Greggory Billy, Kenneth Billy.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Redwood House #7 in Chinle, following services.
