Norma Jean (Wilson) Shehorn married Guy Owen Shehorn on Aug. 27, 1949.


Jean Shehorn, 72, of Flora, IL, died May 9, 2000, at her home in Flora.

Mrs. Shehorn was born October 10, 1927, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Ben and Ora Ellis Wilson. She married Guy O. Shehorn August 27, 1949, in Henderson, KY.

She had been a Wayne County Emergency Grade School teacher, and a member of North Harter Christian Church, Beta Sigma Phi, Flora Ladies Bowling League, and Flora Ladies Pinochle Club.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Mark, Monty, and Scott Shehorn; a daughter, Nikki Staley; three brothers, Wayne, Neal, and Bob Wilson; one sister, Martha Miller; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services were held at Frank and Bright Funeral Home in Flora with burial in the Garrison Temple Cemetery in rural Wayne County.
