Edna Ackland, 78, died Friday, March 24, 1989 at an Albany care center, following an extended illness.
She was born Edna Faxon on Dec. 31, 1910 at St. Helens, Or. She lived all of her life in Oregon.
On Sept. 29, 1935, she married Eugene B. Ackland in Albany.
Mrs. Ackland belonged to the First Baptist Church in Lebanon and was a avid collector of antiques and thimbles.
Survivors include her husband; daughter, Bev Scott of Eugene; sons, Marvin of Albany and Earl of Coos Bay; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brothers, Milton Faxon of Eddyville and Gilbert Faxon of Philomath, Or.
