Flora immigrated in 1845. She is the daughter of Gabriel and Elisabeth (Schneider) Wetter. She married John Klotz on Aug. 18, 1860 at Sherrill, Dubuque, IA. They were the parents of 3 children in 1900, all still living: James, Mary, Edward, and Jane.

Carroll Times - Thursday , April 19th, 1917 - Mr. and Mrs. John Klotz, of Lanesboro, visited with their daughter, Mrs. T. Collicut, last Sunday for the first time in over a year as Mrs. K. has been an invalid from the result of hurting her hip.

Feb 8, 1910 - Carroll Sentinel - Mrs. Flora Klotz was given a surprise party Friday afternoon by about twenty five of her lady friends who came with nicely filled baskets and spent tbe afternoon with her. Upon leaving they presented tbeir hostess with a set of silver knives and forks, and tea and table spoons. Mr. and Mrs. Klotz expect to move in the near future to Florida where they have bought a small farm and expect to make that their future home. Their many friends wish them success where ever they may go.

Note: They moved to Largo, Hillsborough, FL and returned to Iowa the next year.
