Rose M. Laker 85, was the late Dominico and Mary A. (Cantanzariti) Zappia. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Laker on May 4, 1997. Rose was a 1946 graduate of the St. Anthony Hospital School of Nursing in Terre Haute, IN. She worked at St. Francis Hospital as a nurse for 30 years. During that time she also worked as a private duty nurse. She was a member of the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps. which was part of the Women in Military Service for America, St. Mark Catholic Church and the Ave Maria Guild. Rose is survived by her children, Rick (Terri) Laker, Susan (Brian) Cline, Michele Laker and Annette (Robert) Conlon; sisters, Annie Glasgow and Theresa Bergman; brother, Joseph Zappia; grandchildren, Lisa Schemenauer, Matthew (Brandy) Schemenauer, Jeff (Jennifer) Cline, Kevin Cline, Brad (Melissa) Conlon, Lindsay (Daniel) Torgerson, Lauren Conlon, Joe (Beth) Laker and 9 great- grandchildren.
