Mrs. Mary A. (Clancy) Petrella, 79, of Springfield, formerly of Andrew, died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday at Memorial Medical Center. A resident of Springfield for many years, Mrs. Petrella was born in Andrew on June 21, 1906, the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Shyner Clancy. She married Lon A. Petrella in 1932 in Springfield. Preceding her in death were one sister, Rose Clancy and one brother, Patrick Clancy. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Church.
Surviving are her husband, Lon A.; two daughters, Mrs. William (JoAnn) Wente and Mrs. Leon (June) Call II of Springfield; two sons, Don P. and Richard T., both of Springfield; 11 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Vernon (Marcella) Hassebrock of Mount Pulaski; one brother, Thomas E. Clancy of Morton; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at SS. Peter and Paul Church, with the Rev. Frank J. O'Hara officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
