Lewisville, Texas - PEGGY JEAN BRIDGERS, 67, of Lewisville, Texas, beloved wife, mother and granny, passed to her heavenly home on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008.
A service to celebrate Peggy's life will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First Assembly of God Church in Lewisville. Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Comanche (Okla.) City Cemetery. The Rev. Bennie Grissom and the Rev. Bruce Humphries will officiate.
She was born Sept. 7, 1941, in Comanche, to W.M. Humphries and Lola Bell McIntyre Humphries. Peggy married Roy Allen Bridgers on May 30, 1958, in Walters.
She was a longtime member of First Assembly of God Church in Lewisville.
She enjoyed traveling with family and friends. Over the years, she visited 48 states and five foreign countries. She was actively involved in children's activities at First Assembly for many years. Her happiest times were those spent with her family.
This past May, she was surrounded by family and friends as she and Roy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary - a goal she was so proud of attaining.
She is survived by her husband, Roy; daughters, Kathy Ridinger and husband Bill of Lewisville, Terry West and husband Carson of Bartlesville, Okla., and Tammy Woodworth and husband Mark of Grove City, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Clint, Case and Miranda, Melinda, Luke, Heather, Josh, Meredith and Rusty. She is also survived by four brothers; three sisters; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
