Mr. Austin Edward Zimmerman, who formerly resided with his niece, Mrs. Jack T. Linton, 814 Trail Ave., died early Thursday, May 1, at the Homewood Retirement Center, Williamsport, where he had made his residence for the past several years. He was born in Frederick County on July 31, 1986, a son of the late Marshall Lee and Emma Virginia Easterday Zimmerman.
Prior to his retirement, he had been engaged in farming in Frederick County. He was a member of the Faith United Church of Christ in Charlesville.
Surviving are one brother, Ralph L. Zimmerman, Annapolis; one sister, Mrs. Bertha M. Thomas, Frederick; one nephew and four nieces.
The family will receive friends at the Smith, Fadeley, Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St. on Friday, May 20, from 7 to p.m. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home on Saturday, May 21, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Theodore E. Haas, pastor of the Grace United Church of Christ, will officiate. Interment will be in the Faith United Church of Christ Cemetery, Charlesville.
