Once more the grim reaper has taken one of Star Valley's pioneers, Mrs Minnie Williamson. Death came to relieve her from a lingering illness on October 16, 1948.
Minnie Caroline Nelson was born in Snowville, Utah on July 1 1883 being the daughter of Christian Nelson and Lena Caroline Nelson. She came to Star Valley at the age of three years and grew to womanhood in Grover, Wyoming.
She was preceded in death by a son Verdell N. Williamson June 15m 1947 and her husband David C. Williamson, November 4, 1947. She is survived by the following children; Mrs S.E. Cazier, Pinedale, Wyoming Verda Fritchman, Emmett Idaho; Mrs Arnold Archibald, Pocatello, Idaho; Ronald D. Williamson, Tacoma, Washington and Eldon O. Williamson, Afton, Wyoming. Also three brothers, Mariner A. Nelson, Grover, Clarence A. Nelson, Afton and Harvey L. Nelson, Ogden, Utah.
Funeral services were held in the South Ward chapel with all the immediate family present.

Vocal Solo: "Oh My Father" Bishop Arch Gardner accompanied on the piano and violin by his daughters, Gayla and Nada Joy.
Tribute to the deceased and her family by Theron Merritt, a close neighbor.
Closing remarks by Counselor LaVere Johns.
Song: "Sometime We'll Understand" by the choir.
Prayer: Ben Nield
Processional and recessional musical by Bishop Gardner and daughter, Nada Joy.
Counselor Willard Nield dedicated the grave.
A profusion of floral offerings spoke in silent esteem of Sister Williamson. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and neighbors.
