"T. J. Staggers died at his home in Jackson township, Saturday, March 16, aged about 45 years. He leaves a wife and two children to mourn his demise. He was a well respected citizen and had quite a large circle of friends and relatives in that neighborhood. The funeral was held on Sabbath, a large crowd of people being in attendance. The remains were interred in the Staggers burying ground."
