Dr. Oscar Davis Foster of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died November 17, 1920, in Fort Smith. He was born in Dekalb County Tennessee on June 22 1870. He was the son of the late Steve and Martha (Patterson)Foster. Dr. Foster married Virginia Shelton on Sept. 30, 1894. Together they had eight children.
Pearl Agnes Foster, Iva Mildred Foster, Ambrose Webster Foster, Nellie Mae Foster, Grover Cleveland Foster, Ethel LaRue Foster, Esther Ann Foster and Martin Stanley Foster.

Dr. Foster received his "examination" by the Arkansas State Medical Board(Pulaski County)on the 18th day of August 1903. His license was recorded on the 19th day of February, 1904. The license was recorded in Crawford County in May 1911 and in Sebastian County in June of 1917. He listed his office as being at 817 1/2 Garrison Fort Smith, Arkansas.
