Lorene Harp, age 87, of Nixa, died Saturday, July 4, 1998, in Cox Medical Center, South. She was born March 19, 1911, near Ozark, and was one of eleven children of James and Lucinda (Wheeler) Blevins.
On July 7, 1929 she married Kermit Harp. They had one son, Rex Harp, who preceded her in death in 1994. Her brothers and sisters also preceded Mrs. Harp in death.
She was a member of Nixa First Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her husband of 69 years, Kermit Harp, a daughter-in-law, Clara Harp; two grandchildren, Rick Harp, and Ronda Thompson and her husband, Wayner all of Nixa; three great-grandchildren, Christy Harp, Jeff Thompson, and Justin Thompson; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Tuesday, July 7, in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Rev. Kenneth Bandy officiating. Burial was in Glenn Cemetery, south of Nixa.
