Laura Christena Jensen Campbell, age 77, died Jan 27, 1980 in the Star Valley Hospital of heart failure. Funeral services were held Jan 30 in the Afton Second-Third LDS Ward Church at 1 p.m. with bishop's counselor Don B. Harmon conducting. Burial was in the Afton City Cemetery.
Laura was born on Oct 2, 1901 at Afton to Soren Albert and Mary Sophia Jacobsen Jensen, the fifth of eight children. Her childhood was spend in Grover and on the family homestead in Auburn. During her lifetime she enjoyed needlework, cooking and keeping a well ordered home. In her vocation as a beautician she owned and operated a beauty shop in Preston, Idaho.
She was first wed to Alma B. Moser on Feb 8, 1923 from who she was later widowed. She later married John A. King in 1953, for whom she was divorced. On Aug 15, 1958 she married Dewey Campbell.
Laura was an active member of the LDS Church and served as a Beehive teacher in the MIA, as a visiting teacher in the Relief Society, and as a gospel doctrine teacher in the Sunday School organization.
Survivors include her husband Dewey of Afton, a brother Arlan Jensen and sister Mrs Ralph (LaVivian) Herzog of Grover.
