Welch — Donald G. Ferrell, 81, died Thursday. Visitation 5-6 p.m. Sunday, Thomas Funeral Home, and graveside service 10 a.m. Monday, Welch City Cemetery.

Donald G. Ferrell of Welch, died Thursday Nov. 20, 2008, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was 81.

Mr. Ferrell was born Nov. 4, 1927, in Seneca, Mo., to William and Gladys Ferrell.

He served in the Navy during World War II and Korea.

He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2688.

He married Helen Cravens on April 19, 1949 in Vinita.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Ferrell; one daughter, Vicky Langley of St. Louis, Mo.; one brother, Eldon Ferrell of Villages Fla., three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces.

There will be a visitation for family and friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov.23, 2008, at the Thomas Funeral Home in Welch, OK.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, at Welch City Cemetery in Welch with the Rev. Roger Ortlieb officiating. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Military rites performed by the American Legion Post #147, Veterans Funeral Detail. Interment following.

Services are under the direction of Jim Thomas, Thomas Funeral Home, Welch, OK.
