He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Lee Hickman and Frances Franklin Hickman; children, Jennifer Hickman and Stephen Hickman; sister, Frances Caldwell; and brother, Arnold Hickman.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Sylvia Hickman; sisters, Louise Gardner and husband Dub, Mary Lou Hickman, Barbara Quinn and husband, William and Jerald LaVerne Grantham and husband Curtis; brothers, Leon Hickman and wife Dorothy, and Charles Hickman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
