Mrs. Catherine Perry, one of the real pioneers of Sheridan County, passed away Tuesday night at the home of her son, W. C. Perry, 337 Carlin Street. Funeral services were held yesterday at Big Horn by Rev. Ira Kingsley, and Mrs. Perry was laid to rest in the Big Horn Cemetery, by the side of her husband who preceded her into the great beyond twenty-one years ago. Deceased came to Sheridan County thirty-two years ago, traveling overland with wagon and team from Kansas, in company with her husband and two sons. The family suffered many hardships en route. Delighted with the Sheridan country after their hard journey, the travelers settled permanently on a ranch near Big Horn and remained there for several years. Mrs. Perry is survived by her son who lives in Sheridan, and by two brothers and a sister living in the east.
