Mr. Smith is survived by a son from a previous marriage, Daniel L. Johnson, of San Diego, Calif., and a daughter, Mrs. Samuel (Alison) Nicol, of Fairless Hills. Seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren also survive. One sister, Esther Crooker, of Georgia; also survives.
Mr. Smith was of the Protestant faith. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army. He was a member of Madden-Wennick Post 518 American Legion, Rockhill Furnace. Mr. Smith retired in 1978 from United States Steel Corp., Fairless Hills, after 30 years of service.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be made in Saltillo Cemetery.
