Rose Marie Wellmerling, 82, of Bloomington passed away at 12:26 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 15, 2008) at Heritage Manor, Normal.
Rose Marie was born July 6, 1926 in Bloomington, the daughter of Lambert Schwoerer and Ruth Kaiser Schwoerer. She married Arthur Wellmerling June 29, 1947 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bloomington.
Rose Marie is survived by her husband; two daughters, Janice and Judy Tackett; two brothers, Bob (Evelyn) Schwoerer and J.R. (Sharon) Schwoerer; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She graduated from Bloomington High School. She was a homemaker and was one of the early founders of the Marc Center and member of Trinity Lutheran Church. One of her great loves was growing African Violets and won many awards showing them. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Heritage Manor, Normal, for the loving care they provided for the last four years.
