Wesley Stout III, 85, Fillmore, died Sunday at Putnam County Hospital. Born in Indianapolis, he later married Susan M. Whitaker on August 20, 1976 at Danville.
He worked as a tool and dye operator for Stewart-Warner in Indianapolis, retiring in 1986.
He was a member of Brownsburg American Legion Post No. 331 and a World War II veteran, serving as a tank commander in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Kimberly S. Trammell and husband Terry, Delane Branam and husband Charles, and Wanita Smith and husband Randy; three sons, Dale Raney, Wesley Joe Stout IV, and Terry Stout and wife Doreen; a sister, Emma Jean; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, with burial at Fairview Cemetery in North Salem.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
