"Ashby-Hopkins Ashby, 77, pioneer citizen of Tulsa, died last night at his home, 15 South Phoenix Avenue, after more than a year's illness. He is survived by his widow, five sons, Ernest, William, Otis, Marcus and Guy, all of Tulsa; six daughters, Helen Ashby, Mrs H.G. Coy, Mrs Susan Tyrell, Mrs Luke Owens, all of Tulsa; Mrs Eunice Brenner of Ponca City and Mrs Nettie Pitts of Monett, Mo. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Stanley & McCune."

"Ashby-Funeral services for Hopkins Ashby, 77, pioneer Tulsa citizen who died at his home, 15 Sourth Phoenix Avenue, Saturday night, will be held at 4p.m. today from the Stanley and McCune service rooms, Twelfth and Boulder. The Rev. C.W. Kerr of the First Presbyterian church will officiate. Interment will be in Rose Hill cemetery. Mr Ashby is survived by his widow, five sons and six daughters."
