Caroline Bashore
Mrs. Caroline Bashore, 90, of route 1, Ohio City, O., located five miles east of Willshire, O., died at 8 p.m. Thursday in Van Wert county hospital.
She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Church.
Born in Liberty township, Van Wert county, on Nov. 20, 1884, she was a daughter of Peter and Elizabeth Emerick-Akom, and was married to Albertus Bashore, who died in 1935.
Surviving are two sons, John of Middlepoint, O. and Christie of route 2, Rockford, O.; five daughters, Mrs. Harold (Matilda) Smith of route 1, Ohio City; Mrs. Gordon (Alice) Thomas of route 1, Ohio City; Mrs. Gerald (Louise) Leiter of Van Wert; Mrs. Gale (Alta) Zinn of route 2, Van Wert, O.; Mrs. Thelma Neuhauser of Markle; one sister, Mrs. Hubert (Dora) Garrett of Collinsville, Ill., 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One sister and four brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Cowen & Son funeral home, Van Wert, with Rev. William H. Kallen officiating. Burial will be in the Ridge cemetery, located in Ridge township. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday.
