Amanda was born to Elijah James and Nancy Ladonia Watson Booth. She married three times. First she married an unknown Mr. Gilmore. She next married Ralph Jordan. They had two sons: Charles Arthur who married Dovie Beatrice McCourt and Herbert Jepthy who married Dovie Beatrice after his brother, Charles, died. Her third marriage was to Edward Watson Gentry 29 Dec 1919. They had seven known children: Orville; Orabelle; Chester Edward; Nonzalee who married William M. Johns; Neva Jo who married Ross Palmer; Edwardena who married Ed Erwin; and Dona Lou who married Bill Warren.
