Susanna Bernadette Bellecourt was born July 4, 1921, near Waubun, Minn. She attended school near Waubun and in White Earth, Minn. She married Pat Paulson April 26, 1938, in White Earth. They farmed near Ogema, Minn. He died in 1982. In 1983 she moved to White Earth. At age 63 she earned her General Equivalency Diploma. She moved to Detroit Lakes in 1988. She is survived by five sons, Ted (Karen), Ray (Glenda), both Lincoln, Neb., Dave (Terri), Fort Collins, Colo., Keith (Tina), Junction City, Kan., Bill, Detroit Lakes; seven daughters, Patsy (Wid) Robison, Vera (Bill) Miller, both Omaha, Neb., Noni (Ross) Bordwell, Palmer, Alaska, Rosie (Steve) Collins, Dent, Minn., Lilly (Jim) Pinneo, Cathedral City, Calif., Karen (Mick) Brice, Independence, Mo., Penny Paulson, Detroit Lakes; two brothers, Carl (Elva), Federal Way, Wash., Herman (Biddy), Frazee, Minn.; three sisters, Lena (Jerome) LaChapelle, Frazee, Marian (Robert) Kjolberg, Waubun, Tillie (Buck) DuVall, Redding, Calif.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Sunday from 4 to 8, with a prayer service at 7, in David-Donehower Funeral Home, Detroit Lakes, and one hour before the funeral in the church. Funeral: Monday at 11 in St. Columba Episcopal Church, White Earth. Burial: St. Columba Cemetery, White Earth.
