OBITUARY
Terrell Daily Tribune- April 07, 1925 Forney - Mrs. Sallie Dykes, aged 70 years, died at her home here Friday. She was one of the pioneer citizens of Forney and a member of the Baptist Church. Interment at Heath Sunday. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. B. Bowles and Mrs. Charles Hughes of Forney; Mrs. J. M. Hill, Jr., of Kaufman, and Mrs. N. Pratt of Dallas and one son, William Dykes of Forney. Forney

Messenger- April 09, 1925- Mrs. William Dykes died in Forney of heart trouble Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jim Hill, Jr. Nee Sallie Baker, born August 12, 1861 in Young County, Texas, moved to Forney with her parents at age six. In March 1882, they moved to the Arkansas Community, north of Forney. Mr. Dykes died a few years ago. She is survived by two brothers and two sisters and children: Mrs. J. C. Bowles, Mrs. Jim Hill, Jr., Mrs. C. D. Hughes, Mrs. G. B. Spratt and Bill Dykes, Interment Sunday.
