Mrs. Young was born July 29, 1922 in Drew Community, LA and passed away November 10, 2008 in West Monroe, LA. She was a member of McClendon Baptist Church West Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her husband Henry Hiram Young; parents Victor Spillers and Ada Aulds Spillers; son Mark Young; granddaughters Dyanna Ankeny and Heather Nicole Young.
Mrs. Young is survived by her daughter Dorothy Yvonne Hires; sons Roy Neil Young and wife Melanie, Curtis Wayne Young and wife Kathy; daughter-in-law Rita Young; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
