John Mancil Palmer, Sr and his wife Amanda Lemon-Meredith's son Alvin Luther Palmer was born in 1883 in Tennessee -- Alvin Luther Palmer married Minnie O Acuff on 27 Dec 1905 and their sons are Edgar Palmer and Garland Eugene Palmer.

Oscar Lee Palmer first marriage was to Martha Evelyn Evans, she died in Luxora, AR in September 1918 from the Spanish flu when my Mother, Edith Louise Palmer, was 9 months old. Her burial location is unknown for certain but she may have been buried in the "old cemetery" in Luxora where only a few very large headstone remain and is now considered a Park or Playground for the children who now live there or in Violet Cemetery in Osceola where many of her family members/ancestors are buried.

The following obit has (my grandfather) Oscar L Palmer's birth place as Luxora, AR but according to his World War One and World War 2 Draft Registration Cards he states he was born in Ripley, Lauderdale County, TN.
