Ruby M. Cannon married John Frederick Carroll on 22 May 1898 at Ostrander, Cowlitz county, Washington. Together they had four children: Edward LeRoy "Roy" Carroll, Dorothy E. Carroll, Elsie Myrtle Carroll and Gilbert Carroll. After a divorce she married William James "Willie" Lee on 16 Oct 1911 in Vancouver, Clark County, Washington. They had five sons: James, Louis, Jack, John and David. On her marriage certificate to Wiillie Lee she signed her last name as "Coleman" which was the name of one of her stepfathers.
