Pearl Margaret Altwein was the daughter of Frederick William Altwein and Ella Eliza (Hook) Altwein.

She was married 14 May 1917 or 1918 (the two official Texas records do not agree on the year) to Tomas Hardy Kannady in Bell County, Texas.

On 22 July 1922, Pearl Kannady married John Henry Frederick Ulrich in Bell County, Texas.

Pearl Ulrich married Alvin Lee Wheeler. Alvin's father Adam Archie Wheeler married Pearl's sister Teabie (Matilda Gertrude) Altwein Lebrenz. Alvin was Adam's son from a previous marriage.
