From an undated and unnamed newspaper obituary: Mrs. Sarah Dodson, an old resident of Lamar county, died at her home at Hinckley at 10:15 o'clock Friday night after an illness of only a few days. She was taken sick last Tuesday. She was born in Tennessee and was seventy-six years of age. She came to Lamar county when she was a little girl with her father, Uncle Bobby Caviness, who was one of the early settlers of Emberson prairie, and she had lived there all of her life. She was the last one of her father's children, who are now all dead. She was married three times and is survived by two children, Chas. McEwin, a stockman and farmer near Hinckley and Mrs. Joe Armstrong of Caviness, both of whom were children of the last marriage. At the time of her death she was keeping house and a niece, Mrs. Ella Lumpkin, was making her home with her. The funeral service was held at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon, conducted by Rev. F.C.Adams, and interment was made at the McEwin graveyard near Caviness.
