Between Aug 13 and 23, 2011, all the stones in the Revolutionary War Cemetery were photographed. Due to the poor condition of this stone, the inscription above is from a serial magazine "Early Settlers of New York State" published in nine volumes between 1934 and 1942, and later reprinted in two volumes with added Introduction, Tables of Contents, and Indexes by Genealogical Publishing Co., Inc. in 1993. The original list of burials in the Old Cemetery, Laurel Bank Ave., Deposit, N.Y., as it is listed on pg 779 was compiled by Mr. Winthrop Hopkins of Deposit, N.Y. in 1938 when the stones were not as weathered and were easier to read.
