William Thomas Horton was a well-to-do farmer, born and died near Rogersville in Taylor Twp., Greene Co., Missouri. He died at age 71 when he accidently shot himself. He went squirrel hunting and his shotgun discharged while he was climbing through a barbed wire fence. He was the husband of Sarah Ellen Dunn and they were the parents of eleven children. Per his Death Certificate he was interred in the White Oak Cemetery in Rogersville on 5 Jul 1933.
