The daughter of George and Viola Wright Buswell she was born on February 9, 1927 in Knox County, Missouri near Newark.
She was united in marriage to Leo Paul Bevans on January 12, 1951 in Quincy, IL. He preceded her in death on November 14, 1999.
Geneva was a member of the Providence Baptist Church. She was also formerly a member of the Lewis County Memorial Post #578 Auxiliary and the Williamstown Order of Eastern Star #547.
She is survived by two sons, Bernard Bevans and his wife Pat of Kansas City, Mo. and Stanley Bevans and his wife Judy of Decatur, Alabama; a daughter, Connie Ludwig and her husband John of Blue Springs, Mo.; four grandchildren, Kyle Bevans, Stephanie Bevans, Madeline Ludwig, and Kate Ludwig; and a sister, Mrs. Virginia Baker of Shawnee, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, seven brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at 10 AM at Providence Baptist Church near Williamstown, Mo. with Rev. Joe Pike officiating and burial in the Providence Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5 until 7 PM at Arnolds Funeral Home in Canton, Mo.
Memorials may be made to the Providence Cemetery Association.
