Funeral service for Annette Adams, 82, of Lawton will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 8, 2007 at Central Baptist Church with Dr. Keith Miles, officiating.

Burial will be at Mountain Park Cemetery, Mountain Park, Oklahoma under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

Mrs. Adams died Wednesday, September 5, 2007 in Lawton, Oklahoma.

There will be a special viewing and visitation for family and friends on Friday, September 7, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Annette L. VanRay Adams was born on August 15, 1925, in Bluebell, Arkansas to James L. and Katherine V. Napier Van Ray. She moved to Snyder, Oklahoma in 1945 where she met and married Roy E. Adams on June 5, 1946 in the home of E.G. James in Vernon, Texas. They moved to Lawton in 1950. Mr. Adams died in 1994.

Mrs. Adams was a homemaker and a member of Central Baptist Church where she served as nursery worker, preschool Sunday school teacher and a teacher for the M.O.P.S. She was a member of the Friendship Class all of who became wonderful friends and prayer partners. She was an avid reader and loved to collect stories of interesting people and places. A wonderful cook; she loved to share her recipes. She enjoyed tending her flower gardens and her yard.

She is survived by three sons, Michael Adams, of Houston, Texas, Johnny Adams, of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Rick Adams, of Bethany, Oklahoma; three daughters and sons in law, Lynnette and Jesse Isbell, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Melody and Mike Huggins, of Frederick, Oklahoma, and Lynna Jo and Randy Warren, of Lawton, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, and a niece, Judy VanRay.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy, an infant son, two brothers; and two sisters.

Memorial contributions may be made to Central Baptist Church Children's Renovation Funds at 901 SW "B' Ave., Lawton, Oklahoma 73501.
