CHEYENNE, Okla. - Ben Snell, 74, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, in Amarillo, Texas.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Cheyenne First Baptist Church with Jeff Hurlbut officiating. Burial will be in Silent Home Cemetery by Rose Chapel Funeral Service.

Ben was born Feb. 15, 1934, northwest of Leedy to Edith Pearl and William B. Snell. He married Luane Sue Stroup on March 2, 2000, in Wheeler and they continued to live in Cheyenne to make their home.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Dana Lynn Sides of Canyon, Texas, and Tracy Dieon Snell of Sacramento, Calif.; a son, Levi Shane Snell of Cheyenne; four stepchildren, Faron Ray Hyman of Elk City, Lawana Carol Roark and Lisa Dawn Woods, both of Cheyenne, and Arien Dale Hyman of Weatherford; his mother of Reydon; four sisters, Christine Rudd of Amarillo, Mary Lou Jackson of Cheyenne, Sadie Burns of Del Norte, Colo., and B.K. Snell of Oklahoma City; a brother, Jim Snell of Reydon; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
